The company is primarily engaged in the production of aluminum. It is one of the main worldwide producers of compacted products for the aluminum alloying industry. It was founded in 1984 for shipping auxiliary products to the local steel industry in the Basque Country. The company's offices, warehouse and production plant are located in Mungia in Vizcaya, Spain. The company manufactures different auxiliary products for the foundry industry. Tablets and minitablets are mainly focused to the aluminum industry for alloying applications. They are cylindrical in shape and produced by pressing the metallic powders. Mixing, discharging and pressing facilities work under an automated computer-controlled system. This division works since 1988. The company also produces manganese and chromium powders ground in different grinding and sieving facilities. The Powders Division serves the company's internal consumption as well as external services for other applications. This division works since 1996. The Foundry Division is the source of the company and it works since 1984. It produces binders and coatings for moulds and cores, and it markets refractory pieces for casting processes. The company also supplies aluminum alloying tablets and minitablets to many big aluminum casthouses all over the world, in order to perform Mn, Fe, Ti, Cr, Cu and Ni additions to the aluminum bath. It also delivers Mn and Cr powders from its grinding facilities. The company exports more than 80 percent of its products. It is qualified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 regulations.
